Soil Amendment Current Representative Analysis

A current representative analysis is required at the time of registration for soil amendments derived from industrial by-products or sewage sludge.

The following criteria must be met for each analysis:

  • Conducted within six (6) months of submission;
  • Reported on the laboratory’s letterhead;
  • Performed on a dry weight basis; and
  • Indicate specific analytical methods used.

Analysis must include the following tests::

  1. Ammonia as N, %
  2. Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen, %
  3. Total Nitrogen, %
  4. Nitrate as N, %
  5. Volatile Solids, %
  6. Total Solids, %
  7. pH, standard units
  8. Total Phosphorus as P, %
  9. Total Potassium as K, %
  10. Arsenic, mg/kg
  11. Cadmium, mg/kg
  12. Copper, mg/kg
  13. Lead, mg/kg
  14. Mercury, mg/kg
  15. Molybdenum, mg/kg
  16. Nickel, mg/kg
  17. Selenium, mg/kg
  18. Zinc, mg/kg
  19. Aluminum, mg/kg
