Conagra Brands, Inc, a Marshall, Mo. establishment, is recalling approximately 245,366 pounds of frozen chicken strips entree products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The frozen chicken strips entrees were produced on June 20, 2023, July 11, 2023, and July 17, 2023. The following products are subject to recall [view labels]:
- 8.9-oz. carton containing one entree of "BANQUET CHICKEN STRIPS MEAL" with best if used by "DEC 11 2024," "JAN 01 2025," or "JAN 07 2025" and lot numbers 5009317120, 5009319220, or 5009319820 located on the side of the carton.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST. P-9" printed on the side of the carton. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide and were also sold online.
The problem was discovered when the firm notified FSIS that it received a consumer complaint of plastic in the chicken strip portion of the product, which resulted in an oral injury associated with consumption of this product.
FSIS has received no additional reports of injury or illness from consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. Twin City Foods, Inc. (08/23/2023)
Twin City Foods, Inc. of Stanwood, Washington, is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Not-Ready-To Eat Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) Super Sweet Cut Corn and Mixed Vegetables in retail bags, due to a potential for these products to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
The following products were distributed nationwide by the following retailers. No other products have been affected.

To date, there have been no actual consumer reports of human illness or other complaints associated with this product.
The recall has been initiated because finished products may potentially be contaminated with the Listeria monocytogenes, based on one customer’s 3rd party lab results for the IQF sweet cut corn.
Consumers who have purchased the affected product are urged not to consume the product and immediately return the product to the store where they purchased it for a full refund.
This recall is being made with the knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration.

Nestle USA is initiating a voluntary recall of a limited quantity of NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar (16.5 oz) products due to the potential presence of wood fragments.
This voluntary recall is isolated to two batches of NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “break and bake” Bar products that were produced on April 24 and 25, 2023. This product was distributed at retailers in the U.S. This recall does not involve any other NESTLE TOLL HOUSE products, including other varieties of refrigerated cookie dough in “break and bake” bars, rolls, or tubs, or Edible cookie dough
While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we are taking this action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestle USA about this issue.

Consumers who have purchased NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bar (16.5 oz) with batch codes 311457531K and 311557534K should not prepare or consume the product and should return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a replacement or refund. We are working with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) on this voluntary recall and will cooperate with them fully. We are confident that this is an isolated issue and we have taken action to address.

Trader Joe's has issued a recall on their Almond Windmill Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies due to potential rocks.
- Almond Windmill Cookies (SKU# 98744): SELL BY 10/02/23 and 10/19/23 through 10/21/23
- Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies (SKU# 82752): SELL BY 10/17/23 through 10/21/23
All potentially affected product has been removed from sale and destroyed.
If you purchased or received any donations of Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, please do not eat them. Trader Joe's urges you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Braga Fresh is voluntarily recalling a single production run of 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Asian Inspired Chopped Salad Kit 12oz bag purchased from Whole Foods Markets stores.
The product is being recalled because it contains incorrect condiment ingredients resulting in undeclared milk and egg that was not listed on the product label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or egg run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The recalled product, 365 by Whole Foods Market Organic Asian Inspired Salad Kits were sold in bags from refrigerated display cases in the Produce department at Whole Foods Market stores throughout the United States and can be identified by having both a UPC code 9948246932 with a Best if Used By Date 7/16/23 and Lot Code: BFFS179A2 All affected products have been removed from store shelves.
All other Braga Fresh and 365 by Whole Foods Market Chopped Salad Kits are properly labeled, and no other products are included. No illnesses nor allergic reactions have been reported to date.

Ziyad Brothers Importing of Cicero, IL, is recalling its 35.2 fluid ounce packages of Ziyad Brand Jameed Soup Starter because it does not declare milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled Ziyad Brand Jameed Soup Starter was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through Amazon.
All product that is labeled as Ziyad Brand Jameed Soup Starter and sold in a 35.2 fluid ounce tetra pak container with UPC code 0 74265 00597 1 is included in this recall.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered during a routine internal company review that the product was distributed in packaging that disclosed the presence of “lactic casein powder” in the ingredient list but it did not further clarify that this ingredient is derived from “milk.”

Mondelez Global LLC announced today a voluntary recall of two varieties of belVita Breakfast Sandwich products, manufactured in the United States and sold nationwide, due to the possibility that the products may contain undeclared peanut resulting from cross-contact on a single manufacturing line. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanut may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by consuming these products.
This recall is limited exclusively to the belVita Breakfast Sandwich products listed in the grid below, available at retail stores nationwide. No other belVita products, Mondelēz Global LLC products, or markets outside the United States are included in or affected by this recall.

We became aware of this issue during an internal manufacturing inspection, when we found the potential presence of peanut protein residue on the line used to make these products. There have been three unconfirmed reports of possible allergic reaction to date related to these products.
Consumers who have a peanut allergy should not eat these products and should discard any product identified in the grid above they may have. Van’s International Foods (07/03/2023)
Van’s International Foods (“Van’s” or “the Company”) is voluntarily recalling certain packages of Van’s Gluten Free Original Waffles, because they may contain undeclared wheat. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The affected products are labeled with Lot Code #UW40193L and have an expiration date of 1/19/2024. To identify the Lot Code and expiration date, please refer to the side of the carton. Consumers who believe they have purchased recalled lot code product are urged to confirm the lot code with place of purchase.
This recall ONLY affects the limited number of Van’s Gluten Free Original Waffles in the lot code indicated. No other Van’s products are included in this recall.
To date, no allergic reactions or illnesses associated with consumption of the affected product have been reported. This recall has been initiated in an abundance of caution due to potential presence of wheat in certain products labeled as gluten-free. The recalled products should not be consumed.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that wheat-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of wheat. Subsequent investigation indicates that the problem was caused by the inclusion of a limited number of cartons for Van’s Gluten Free Original Waffles with a pallet of cartons intended for wheat containing products. Immediate steps were taken to prevent recurrence.

House of Raeford, a Nesmith, S.C., establishment, is recalling approximately 76,961 pounds of corn dog products due to possible spoilage, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The mini chicken corn dogs were produced on April 24, 2023. The following product is subject to recall [view labels]:
- 1.83-lb. resealable bag containing “FOSTER FARMS MINI CORN DOGS BITE-SIZED CHICKEN FRANKS DIPPED IN BATTER HONEY CRUNCHY FLAVOR” with lot codes 123114 and 223114 and best if used by date of 4/23/24.
The product subject to recall bears the establishment number “P- 9136” printed on the package. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the firm notified FSIS that it received consumer complaints that the product had an odor, off appearance, and unpleasant taste.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Panamerican Foods, LLC, is recalling approximately 4,978 pounds of the pork and beef bean stew products that were imported from an establishment in Brazil that is not eligible to export meat products to the United States, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The following products are subject to recall, regardless of the product date [view labels]:
- 430g cans containing “Anglo Feijoada Pronta para servir”.
- 430g cans containing “Bordon Feijoada PRONTO PARA SERVIR”.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “76 S.I.F.” on the can. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered when FSIS followed up on a referral from USDA’s Smuggling Interdiction and Trade Compliance Program. The pork and beef bean stew products, which were imported from a Brazilian establishment not eligible to export meat products to the United States, were observed for sale in a retail store.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
