ATLANTA, GA – Today, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper released the following statement on the state gas tax suspension. Harper praised Governor Brian Kemp for his willingness to take action to give Georgians much-needed relief and highlighted his close coordination with the Governor’s Office leading up to the announcement.
“This announcement means immediate relief for Georgia families struggling to afford gas and groceries and Georgia farmers facing diesel prices that have nearly doubled in recent weeks,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper. “We have been working closely with Governor Kemp’s Office to make this happen, and I am grateful that we have a Governor who is willing to take action to give hardworking Georgians relief when fuel prices spike.”
