Fromm Family Foods of Mequon, WI is recalling 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pate Wet canned dog food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pate Wet canned dog food due to potential metal contamination. Dogs ingesting metal may exhibit symptoms such as chocking, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, or stomach discomfort. Metal of any size, especially sharp pieces, can lead to serious health issues in dogs, including lacerations in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. Metal, when consumed in large amounts, can lead to gastrointestinal upset, partial blockage, and a risk of intestinal obstruction. Consumers whose dogs have consumed any of the affected product and are exhibiting these symptoms should contact their veterinarian. Consumers are advised to immediately stop feeding the impacted products to their dogs.
