Murphy and Vaughn Appointed to Serve on Georgia Equine Commission
The Agriculture Commodity Commission for Equine has appointed two new members to the board. The Ex Officio Committee met on July 2, 2018, to appoint Julie Murphy from Brooks County and Jordan Vaughn from Monroe County. Murphy, who had served the previous three years, was reappointed and Vaughn was appointed to fill the position previously held by Dr. Carter Black.
The Georgia Agriculture Commodity Commission for Equine was created by the Georgia Legislature and receives funds from the sale of Georgia Equine specialty license plates. The Equine Commission uses funds forresearch, education and promotion of equine in Georgia.
