2026 - 2028
The GATE season for 2026 - 2028 is open now. The cost is $150, and your new card will be valid starting January 1, 2026.
If you already have a GATE Card number, check your card status to see whether that number is valid for 2025. If it is valid, do not apply for a new card. Email farmtax@agr.georgia.gov if you have any questions about your card status.

2025 - 2027
The GATE season for 2025 – 2027 is still open through November 30. The cost is $150, and your new card will be valid starting on the date that you paid for it.
Please note that if you apply for a 2025 – 2027 card you will be paying the full application cost for a card that is valid for slightly over two years. The only reason to get a card for 2025 is if you are planning to use it for a major purchase within the next two months. If you do not currently have a GATE card and are not planning to make a major purchase in 2025, we recommend that you apply for a 2026 – 2028 GATE Card.

Important!
You have 45 days after paying for a card to notify GDA if you have not received your card in the mail. If you do not contact us within that period you will need to pay a fee of $30 for a replacement card.
