Soil Amendments

The Georgia Soil Amendment Act of 1976 requires the registration of all soil amendments distributed in Georgia. This Act regulates labeling, sampling, and tonnage reporting. The fee for product registration is $55.00 per product, and $55.00 per product for renewals. A notarized Consent to Service of Process Form is required of all out-of-state companies.

UPDATE: Effective December 2, 2019, new regulations will require companies with soil amendments derived from industrial by-products or biosolids to provide additional information to the Department at the time of registration. Current registrations expire December 31, 2019, and ALL products, even those previously registered with GDA, will require submission of new registration documents before they can be renewed. You will not be able to renew online through Kelly Registration Systems as in past years. All paperwork must be submitted to the Agricultural Inputs Section, as with initial product registration. Please follow the updated instructions below to prepare your application packet for registration.
