ACTION: Notice of Intent to Consider an Amendment of Rule 40-11-8-.01 relating to Economic Poisons

TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS AND PARTIES:

Pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, O.C.G.A. §§ 2-2-9 and 50-13-4, notice is hereby given that the Georgia Department of Agriculture will be accepting written comments regarding the amendment of current Rule 40-11-8-.01 entitled “Collection of Samples.” The Department will be accepting written comments from March 22, 2017, to close of business (4:30 p.m. EST) on April 21, 2017.

SYNOPSIS, MAIN FEATURES AND DIFFERENCES

The Department is proposing to amend current Rule 40-11-8-.01 entitled “Collection of Samples” to clarify that the Commissioner or his duly designated agent is authorized to collect samples of pesticide upon demand without charge or cost from any public or private premises within this state in which pesticide is manufactured, processed, packed, stored, distributed or held for distribution and from any vehicle used to transport or hold such pesticide.

COMMENT PERIOD AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The Department will be accepting written comments from March 22, 2017, to close of business (4:30 p.m. EST) on April 21, 2017. Comments will be considered on April 24, 2017. Please submit written comments to:
