Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black on Confirmation of Sonny Perdue as Secretary of Agriculture
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary W. Black today applauds the Senate confirmation of former Georgia Governor, George Ervin “Sonny” Perdue III, as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
“We are very pleased that the confirmation process is complete and now the real work can begin,” said Commissioner Black. “We look forward to working with Secretary Perdue as he focuses fully on the issues and concerns currently facing the agricultural community.”
The Senate confirmed Secretary Perdue on April 24, 2017 on a strong bipartisan vote of 87-11.
