Greetings from the Way Green Local Fare Market Committee:

The Way Green Local Fare Market in partnership with Okefenokee Heritage Center is pleased to announce the 2016 season of the Way Green Local Fare Market. The producers-only market sponsored by AgSouth, will be held rain or shine on the first Saturday of each month, May-November from 9am to 12 noon on the grounds of the Okefenokee Heritage Center, 1460 N Augusta Ave., Waycross, Georgia 31503. We are proud to announce that for the first time we will be accepting SNAP/EBT payments offering many more people the opportunity to purchase local food!

The market seeks to offer a wide array of locally produced products ranging from vegetables, meats, dairy items, baked goods, eggs, honey and other food based goods as well as artisans, artists, musicians and craftsmen. Farmers and producers of all kinds are welcome to apply provided they are selling goods that have been grown, raised or produced themselves locally, within a 100 mile radius of Waycross. Information only booths as well as concessions and all other items are prohibited.

All vendors must read and conform to the market guidelines and are advised to keep a copy for reference.
