Using Pesticides Wisely: Required training to use auxin pesticides

Required training to use auxin pesticides: dates, locations announced

Prior to making applications of dicamba to dicamba-tolerant crops or 2,4-D to 2,4-D-tolerant crops in Georgia, growers must attend “Using Pesticides Wisely.”

Growers and applicators (sprayer and tractor drivers) are required to attend Using Pesticides Wisely training before applying the dicamba products - XtendiMax, FeXapan and Eugenia - in 2018 and succeeding years. The dicamba products are restricted use pesticides, and only certified private applicators and certified commercial applicators may purchase and use the dicamba products.

The training will focus on helping applicators/growers make wise decisions when applying not only 2,4-D and dicamba but all pesticides. Growers are strongly encouraged to bring their applicators with them. Attendance is suggested for all on farm applicators to confirm that they have been provided the best management practices when applying all pesticides.
