Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black alerts consumers to the recall of some breaded calamari rings that may be cross-contaminated with peanuts.
Georgia-based King & Prince Seafood of Brunswick has recalled its breaded calamari rings that were distributed nationally through brokers and foodservice distributors.
The calamari has the potential to contain a peanut ingredient manufactured in its soy flour. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The recalled products include:
- Mrs. Friday’s Breaded Calamari Rings, 4/2.5#, UPC code 10041338578028
- Mrs. Friday’s Italian Calamari Rings, 4/2.5#, UPC code 10041338578004
- Mrs. Friday Breaded Italian Calamari Rings, 6/2#, UPC code 10070017412100
All date codes of this product are included in the recall.
