Arizona firm recalls whey protein powders

A limited number of Publix GreenWise Vanilla and Chocolate Whey Protein Powders is being recalled by the manufacturer, Arizona Nutritional Supplements, because a review of the labels revealed lacking, insufficient or inaccurate information about milk allergens.
Persons who have an allergy to milk run the risk of a serious or possible life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled products are:
• GreenWise Vanilla Whey Protein Powder in 15.5-ounce canisters with an expiration date of 05/2012, a UPC code of 41415-54977, and lot numbers 906022, 906023, 906024, 906025.
• GreenWise Chocolate Whey Protein Powder in 13-ounce canisters with an expiration date of 06/2012, a UPC code of 41415-55077, and lot numbers 905036, 905037, 905038, 905039.
The products were distributed to stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
