Dry bamboo shoots recalled for sulfites not listed on the product ingredient label

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts consumers to the recall of some dry bamboo shoots that have a preservative ingredient that is not listed on the product label.
Fine Land Corp, Brooklyn, NY, is recalling Mong Lee Shang Brand Dry Bamboo Shoots because it contains sulfites, a preservative, not listed on the product label. Consumers who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
Mong Lee Shang Brand Dry Bamboo Shoots is sold nationwide in un-coded, six-ounce, clear plastic packages. The shoots are produced in Taiwan .
