Commissioner Irvin to present Innovator in AgriFuels Awards Wednesday in Warner Robins at Aviation Museum
Georgia’s Commissioner of Agriculture will present five people with Innovator in AgriFuels awards in a ceremony in the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins Wednesday, Oct. 4th, at 11 a.m.
The five people who will receive this first time award are: Dr. Linda Smyth, current Middle Georgia Clean Cities Coalition President and Board Chair and agricultural and environmental sciences educator and university administrator for more than 30 years; Greg Hopkins of Rome, U.S. Biofuels President and owner, who began working on producing alternative fuels in the 1970’s; Dennis Burnett, Alternative Fuel Vehicle Manager for Davis Oil Company of Perry; Andrea Hicks, Fort Benning Pollution Prevention Program Manager; Mike Mead Warner Robins Air Force Base Advance Power Technology Office (APTO).
