Fuel standards town hall meetings for
ethanol blends to be held in Atlanta, Tifton

The Georgia Department of Agriculture is considering updating certain fuel quality standards to promote the development and use of ethanol blended gasoline in Georgia.

The Department will host two town hall meetings in Atlanta and Tifton to listen to comments regarding any possible updates.

“We want to make certain consumers are protected by ensuring that all fuels meet quality standards.  We also want to encourage alternate forms of fuel and help Georgia farmers open new markets for their crops as well,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin.

The first meeting is in Atlanta on November 27 in Room 201 of the Agriculture Building, 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The second meeting is in Tifton on November 29 at Georgia Agriculture Innovation Center, 2356 Rainwater Road.

Both meetings will begin at 3:00 p.m.
