Gerber recalls ORGANIC cereals
for potential “choking risk”
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin warns consumers today that the Gerber Products Company is voluntarily recalling all codes of eight-ounce boxes of Gerber ORGANIC Rice and Gerber ORGANIC Oatmeal cereals due to a potential choking risk.
A limited quantity of the cereals, sold in eight-ounce boxes, may contain lumps that do not dissolve when mixed with water or milk. This poses a potential choking hazard.
The baby cereal, sold throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, should not be used. The Gerber ORGANIC Rice UPC Code is 15000 12504 and the Gerber ORGANIC Oatmeal UPC Code is 15000 12502. These numbers can be found on the bottom right side of the box.
Consumer with questions should call the Gerber Parents Resource Center at (800) 443-7237 and may return the product to Gerber’s for a full refund.
