Notice of Intent to Consider the Adoption of Rules
To All Interested Persons and Parties:
Notice is hereby given that the Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission will hold a public hearing on January 30, 2007 beginning at 10 AM in Room 201 of the Agriculture Building, 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30334. Such hearing will be for the purpose of considering the adoption of amendments to the Rules relating to Structural Pest Control.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 43-45-8, exact copies of the amendments are available for pickup in the office of the Secretary of the Commission, Room 242, Agriculture Building, 19 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Atlanta, GA 30334 and on the Department of Agriculture’s website at the following address:

A synopsis of the changes are:
1. There has been a renumbering throughout the Rule to accommodate the changes listed below.
2. Rule 620-2-.01 has been amended to correct a typographical error in the first sentence.
3. Rule 620-2-.01(aa) has been amended to limit the definition of a registered employee to people at least 18 years of age.
4. Rule 620-2-.01(af) has been amended to remove colleges, universities, home schools, trade and adult education facilities from the definition of a school.
5. Rule 620-3-.01 has been amended to allow the Department of Technical and Adult Education (DTAE) to conduct testing for certified operators, adjusts the fee for examination and removes the notification requirement since the testing will no longer be limited to just several days per year.
6. Rule 620-3-.02(1)(e)4. has been amended to allow DTAE to conduct testing for registered employees and adjusts the fee for examination.
7. Rule 620-3-.02(1)(e)6. has been amended to allow DTAE to notify applicants for registration of their exam scores.
8. Rule 620-6-.02(1)(g) has been amended to remove the requirements that renewable WDO contracts specify the approximate reinspection interval.
9. Rule 620-6-.02(1) has been amended to add a new section “6” that requires renewable WDO contracts be reinspected annually.
