1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 stack (1/4 of a 1 pound box) saltine crackers, coarsely crushed
Combine margarine, sugar and evaporated milk in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Boil mixture for one minute.
Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until melted. Add crushed crackers and stir to coat. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto wax paper; let stand until firm.
Store in airtight container. Yield: 30 pieces.
