Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin, attending the Georgia National Junior Livestock Show & Rodeo in Perry last week, said he was “extremely encouraged” after meeting with leaders of the state’s 4-H club and Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization. After meeting with Livestock Quiz Bowl winners and award winners from the hog and heifer shows, Irvin said, “the future of farming is bright, left under the direction of these young Georgians.”
