The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 83.50¢ based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 65% (representing 761 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 82.35¢ to 84.00¢ with a preliminary weighted average of 82.66¢ f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate for a balanced to good demand. Average weights are ranging mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 5,139,300 head. This compares with 5,179,300 head last Thursday.
