The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 82.00¢ based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 61% (representing 587 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 77.67¢ to 85.24¢ with a preliminary weighted average of 81.74¢ f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady and the live supply is adequate for a mostly normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,386,800 head. This compares with 4,683,100 head last Thursday.
