The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 82.25¢ based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 79% (representing 802 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 79.87¢ to 83.25¢ with a preliminary weighted average of 81.82¢ f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market continues generally moderate and the live supply is adequate for a balanced demand. Average weights are ranging desirable to occasionally heavy, but are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,556,700 head. This compares with 5,105,300 head last weekend.

50.00¢ - (based on 932,000 lbs.)
Drumsticks:
60.00¢ - (based on 970,000 lbs.)
Leg Quarters:
37.00¢ - (based on 7,825,000 lbs.)
Wings:
$1.53 - (based on 2,868,000 lbs.)
Demand on line run tenders, skinless boneless breasts, whole breasts, thighs, drumsticks and leg quarters is mostly normal; boneless skinless thigh meat is light to normal; while the demand on wings ranges good to occasionally normal, mostly good.
Trading on heavy breeder type hens was moderate. The market undertone is unchanged with offerings adequate for a normal to good buying interest. There was not enough negotiated trading for the week ending today to report a price. Estimated slaughter for the week ending today is 216,000 head. This compares with 247,900 head the same time a year ago. There was also not enough negotiated trading for next week to report a price.
ESTIMATED SLAUGHTER FOR THE WEEK ENDING TODAY: Broilers and fryers are 23,229,600 head. This compares with 23,836,800 head of broilers and fryers the corresponding week a year ago.
