Strawberries in season


Georgia strawberries are in season. That means kitchens across the state are producing cobblers, shortcakes, pies, jellies and jams. However, you don't have to be a cook to use strawberries. They are delicious fresh on pancakes and cereal and make a colorful addition to fruit salads. Here they are paired with a selection of Georgia cheeses (Yes, we produce cheese here in Georgia. Look out Wisconsin!) made by Sweet Grass Dairy of Thomasville (http://sweetgrassdairy.com/). Chef Conway paired fresh strawberries with fresh whipped cream from Sparkman's Cream Valley Dairy in Moultrie (http://sparkmanscreamvalley.com/) to create this scrumptious dessert.
